Anterior Mediastinal Teratoma Associated with Diffuse Atelectasis of Left Lung

Abstract
|
|
|
Presented a case of 21 years old male with mediastinal teratoma, located in the anterior mediastinum and well circumscribed, lobulated, grayish white baby head sized, occupied lower part of mediastinum and protruded into the left thoracic cavity causing diffuse atelectasis of left lung.
Extirpation of the tumor and the left pneumonectomy by left posterolateral thoracotomy took whole amelioration.
A brief review of literatures concerning the mediastinal teratoma was taken.
